Nov 29 - Mar 3, 2024
Joan Brossa , poet, playwright and artist, began his career in the 1940s under the guidance of Josep Vicenç Foix, Joan Miró and Joan Prats. Despite developing an intense activity from the start, it was not until 1970 that he gained recognition from a literary point of view thanks to the publication of Poesía rasa and in 1986 when the first anthological exhibition was inaugurated at the Fundació Miró, Joan Brossa o les paraules són les coses [Joan Brossa or Words Are Things]. From that moment on, the poet established himself as one of the leading figures in contemporary Catalan literature and art.
Opening: Thursday 8 Sep. 12 – 22h
Poetry reading curated by JUF: Thursday 8 Sep. 19h. With Tarek Lakhrissi, Billy Morgan, Olivia Douglass
DiscoverWe’re delighted to present a joint project by Bombon, Galeria Joan Prats and NoguerasBlanchard in Fonteta, a small village in the Empordà region from June to September.
The exhibition, conceived in two chapters (the first opening June 18th and the second August 7th) brings together artists from three different generations. The proposal begins with a concept from the Empordà Parar la fresca (to take in fresh air) described by Josep Pla in the book Las Horas (The Hours), 1953.
